Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all services of Jet-Express. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
Payment Term
All invoices must be paid within 10 days of the invoice date.
Article 1 - Definitions
In these terms and conditions:
1.1 Jet-Express: The company offering courier services in Belgium and the Netherlands.
1.2 Client: The natural or legal person placing a transport order.
1.3 Shipment: The goods transported by Jet-Express.
1.4 Pickup address: The location where the shipment is collected.
1.5 Delivery address: The location where the shipment is delivered.
Article 2 - Applicability
2.1 These terms apply to all quotes, agreements and services of Jet-Express.
2.2 Deviations from these terms are only valid if agreed in writing.
2.3 The applicability of any purchase or other conditions of the client is expressly rejected.
2.4 If any provision of these terms is void, the remaining provisions remain in force.
Article 3 - Services
3.1 Jet-Express provides courier services for transporting documents and goods in Belgium and the Netherlands.
3.2 The client must provide correct and complete information about:
- Pickup and delivery address
- Recipient contact details
- Nature and contents of the shipment
- Any special handling instructions
3.3 Jet-Express reserves the right to refuse an order if:
- The shipment contains illegal or dangerous goods
- The information provided is incorrect or incomplete
- The shipment cannot be transported safely
3.4 Delivery times are indicative and not binding, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Article 4 - Prices and Payment
4.1 Rates
Rates are calculated based on:
- Distance (per kilometer)
- Type of service (Standard, Express, Evening/Weekend)
- Any surcharges (waiting time, extra stops)
4.2 Payment term
Invoices must be paid within **10 days** of the invoice date.
4.3 Payment methods
- iDEAL
- Bancontact
- Credit card
- Bank transfer (business customers with account only)
4.4 Default
In case of late payment:
- The client is automatically in default
- Jet-Express is entitled to charge statutory interest
- All collection costs are borne by the client
- Jet-Express reserves the right to suspend further services
4.5 Price changes
Jet-Express reserves the right to adjust rates. Ongoing orders are executed at the agreed rate.
Article 5 - Liability
5.1 Limitation of liability
The liability of Jet-Express is limited to:
- Maximum €3,400 per shipment (according to CMR Convention)
- Or the invoice value of the order, if lower
5.2 Excluded from liability
Jet-Express is not liable for:
- Damage due to incorrect or incomplete information from the client
- Damage due to inadequate packaging
- Consequential damage, indirect damage or lost profits
- Damage due to force majeure
- Delay damage, unless there is intent or gross negligence
5.3 Insurance
The client is advised to additionally insure valuable shipments.
5.4 Notification obligation
Damage must be reported in writing within 24 hours of delivery, accompanied by photos and documentation.
Article 6 - Prohibited Goods
6.1 It is prohibited to offer the following goods for shipment:
- Explosives and fireworks
- Weapons and ammunition
- Drugs and narcotics
- Toxic or radioactive substances
- Live animals
- Perishable goods without adequate packaging
- Goods that violate the law
- Cash over €500
6.2 In case of violation of this article:
- The client is fully liable for all damage
- Jet-Express reserves the right to cancel the order immediately
- Any fines will be charged to the client
Article 7 - Cancellation
7.1 By client
- Free cancellation: up to 2 hours before scheduled pickup
- Cancellation within 2 hours: 50% of the quote amount
- Cancellation after pickup: 100% of the quote amount
7.2 By Jet-Express
Jet-Express may cancel an order in case of:
- Force majeure (extreme weather conditions, road blockades)
- Safety risks
- Non-compliance with these terms by the client
In case of cancellation by Jet-Express without attributable cause on the part of the client, amounts already paid will be refunded.
Article 8 - Complaints
8.1 Complaints about the execution of the agreement must be submitted in writing within 7 days of discovery to info@jet-express.eu.
8.2 The complaint must contain a clear description of:
- The nature of the complaint
- Date and reference number of the shipment
- Supporting photos or documents
8.3 Jet-Express aims to handle complaints within 14 days.
8.4 Filing a complaint does not suspend the payment obligation.
Article 9 - Applicable Law
9.1 Belgian law applies to all agreements between Jet-Express and the client.
9.2 The CMR Convention applies to international transport.
9.3 Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Leuven, Belgium.
9.4 Parties will first attempt to resolve disputes through mutual consultation before initiating legal proceedings.
